It was covered in moss that log, and I wanted to keep some of it on the handle. It just happened that one little moss thread remained and it's firmly rooted in that bark.
The tines formed a small fissure that I caught early and mended, so it's strong as a rock, but has a bit of a scar.
It's beautiful and will tackle anything you dare to pierce with it.
